President Jokowi Welcomes Members of Chinese Clans Social Association at State Palace
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday 05/15) at the State Palace, Jakarta, hosted the Indonesian Chinese Clans Social Association (PSMTI).
According to PSMTI Senior Honorary Council Hary Tanoesoedibjo, it was PSMTI first meeting with the Head of State after 25 years of its establishment.
He added that during the meeting PSMTI also expressed its appreciation to the President for his achievement in developing Indonesia.
“The aim of our meeting today is to meet with the President after 25 years of PSMTI establishment. We also would like to convey our appreciation to the President for his achievement in making Indonesia’s economy grow well during the pandemic,” Hary added.
Hary also explained that PSMTI is an association of Indonesian Chinese clans who are businessmen.
“I would like to say to you that PSMTI is an association of all Indonesian Chinese clans. The statistics shows that there are more than seven million Chinese people in Indonesia, the majority of which is businessmen,” Hary remarked. (BPMI SETPRES/UN) (GA/EP)
