Presidential Secretariat has announced that the State Palace this year will invite a bigger number of participants for the ceremony to commemorate Indonesia’s 78th Independence Day that falls on August 17, 2023.

“We will have more participants than that of last year,” Presidential Secretariat’s Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media Bey Machmudin said, adding that the palace will prepare 8,000 invitations for flag-hoisting and flag-lowering ceremonies respectively.

This year’s ceremony will also be more vibrant with a number of performances to entertain the guests, he added.

If you who wish to attend the ceremony, you can go to pandang.istanapresiden.go.id to make an online registration starting from August 5th, 2023.  After completing the verification process, those who are eligible as participants will receive a notification email on details to exchange the invitation.

Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono encouraged the public to not miss the opportunity to attend the ceremony in person at the Merdeka Palace. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (RAS/EP)
