President Jokowi Joins Public Figures Having Dinner in New Capital

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (09/22) invited artists and ministers to have dinner in a clearing in Indonesia’s new capital of Nusantara after attending Nusantara Appreciation Night in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

On that occasion, popular celebrity Arnold Poernomo took over the kitchen and cooked fried rice for the President and the artists who lined up to get food.

The President sat among artists and conversed with a few of them. The artists and ministers seemed to enjoy their dinner.

According to radio announcer Ralvi Nasution, the dinner is an unforgettable moment that cannot be described in words.

“Having a meal with friends is usual, but this is a dinner with the President so what I feel is indescribable. I cannot express it in words. It is a very warm moment and I will always remember it,” he said.

Echoing a similar sentiment, comedian Insan Nur Akbar expressed appreciation to the President for inviting him to gather in Nusantara Capital.
