Indonesia Finishes 13th Place at Hangzhou Asian Games
The 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games has officially come to an end on Sunday (10/08) and Indonesia finished 13th in the overall medal tally.
Indonesia won a total of 36 medals comprising 7 gold, 11 silver, and 18 bronze. The number of gold medals has become the country’s highest gold earned by Indonesia out of their home country since the 1982 Asian Games in India.
For the record, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the host of the 2022 Asian Games, emerged as the champion with 383 medals consisting of 201 gold, 111 silver, and 71 bronze. The second and third places consecutively went to Japan with 188 medals consisting of 52 gold, 67 silver, and 69 bronze and the Republic of Korea with a total of 190 medals, which consisted of 42 gold, 59 silver, and 89 bronze.
