President Jokowi: Tourism Vocational School Must be Encouraged to Boost Tourism Sector

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (10/31) inspected the learning process at state vocational high school SMKN 3 Sukawati in Gianyar Regency, Bali province.

According to the President, the vocational school is highly relevant to Bali province, considering that the province has tourism potentials.

“SMK 3 Sukawati in Gianyar regency, Bali province, is very relevant to the province. All majors including culinary arts, hospitality, dance science, puppetry, music are relevant to tourism in Bali,” President Jokowi said in his statement after inspecting the school.

Earlier President Jokowi inspected class rooms for practical learning at the school.

The President further said that the quality of facilities in the school needed to be improved.

 “I noticed that some equipment needs to be updated and I have also agreed to help [the improvement],” said the President.

On that occasion, the President also underscored that all vocational schools in other provinces in all over Indonesia focusing on tourism must continue to be encouraged to support tourism sectors. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (AP/MUR)
