Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Hermina Nusantara Hospital in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, November 1, 2023

Distinguished Ministers, Head of the IKN Authority, Governor of East Kalimantan;

Distinguished President Director of Hermina Hospital dr. Hasmoro and Hermina Hospital’s Board of Directors and Commissioners;

Distinguished Founder of Hermina Hospital;

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Distinguished Guests,

Those who want to move to the IKN, people who want to live in IKN always ask me about the healthcare facilities. “Sir, if my children or my family are sick, is there a hospital in the IKN?”

Now, we have the answer. The Hermina Nusantara Hospital will be constructed. Today, we carry out the groundbreaking of this eco-based internationally accredited hospital; a hospital that will also be built based on green building concept, optimize renewable energy and be supported by smart hospital digitalization.

Earlier, dr. Hasmoro said that the investment allocation for the development of the hospital reached Rp650 billion. It is a huge amount. It is also our hope that the development can immediately be completed. Through the Hermina Nusantara Hospital, people living in IKN and its surrounding areas will have access to excellent healthcare services, emergency services, trauma center, orthopedics, maternal and child care, perinatology, growth and development, and nephrology services. He also mentioned that the hospital will not only serve VVIP patients but also patients using Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) insurance or other insurances; which is really great.

The groundbreaking ceremony will build up public trust to the IKN so that people as well as investors will not hesitate anymore to live, to invest, and develop their businesses in the IKN. And we will continue to develop various supporting facilities so that more people are interested in living in the IKN and making IKN a lively, bustling, modern, advanced, and environmentally friendly capital.

By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby officially inaugurate the groundbreaking ceremony of the development of Hermina Nusantara Hospital.
