Assalamua’laikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.

Distinguished Your Excellency, Ambassadors in attendance, Romanian Ambassador to Indonesia, Fiji’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mozambique Ambassador to Indonesia,

Distinguished Governors, Regents, and Mayors, especially the host of the sports event Regent of Biak, all traditional leaders, all community leaders.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my fellow citizens, all the people of Papua, particularly those in Biak and its surrounding areas.

Esteemed Guests.

I am delighted to be here this morning in this stunning place. It’s remarkable to realize that two-thirds of Indonesia is covered by water. Two-thirds of Indonesia is an ocean that holds water. Therefore, at the peak of the Sail Teluk Cendrawasih 2023 event, we will introduce our maritime potential, our maritime potential, our tourism potential, our socio-cultural potential.

As Indonesia’s prominent gateway to the Pacific region, Papua boasts abundant natural resources, and Cendrawasih Bay is renowned for hosting the richest marine ecosystem in Indonesia, making it a paradise for coral reefs and marine life.

We hope that through Sail Teluk Cendrawasih, Papuan culture, dance, music, and local products can be showcased not only on a national scale but also on the international and global stages. This initiative aims to boost tourism, attract event creators, and spark investor interest, ultimately contributing to the advancement and prosperity of the land of Papua.

I urge this outstanding event be continued, fostering creativity, innovation, and community participation, with the active involvement of our MSMEs, ensuring that the people in Papua can reap the benefits even after the conclusion of this event.

I conclude my remarks on this auspicious occasion. And, I invite anyone present who can recite Pancasila to kindly raise their hand. For those prepared to perform the dance, please step forward. Yes, over here.
