President Jokowi Launches Nusantara Logistics Hub, Services in IKN

As part of his working visit to the Nusantara Capital (IKN) in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (01/17) launched the Nusantara Logistics Hub and Services.

“I’d like to applaud the launch of Nusantara Logistics Hub and Services, a synergy collaboration between Pos Indonesia and PT Bina Karya (Persero) in the Nusantara Capital,” the President said.

The President expressed belief that the Nusantara Logistics Hub and Services will support the capital as a super hub. In addition, the availability of logistics service companies is needed to support various activities in the capital.

“[This is] in line with what we see, the density of activities here and the increasing number of movement of people and goods, especially to the Nusantara Capital, from and to the Nusantara Capital. Moreover, prior to the preparation of the operation of various businesses, various offices in the capital,” he said.

President Jokowi also expressed hope that the Nusantara Logistics Hub and Services will strengthen the domestic supply chain in the country.

“I hope Nusantara Logistics Hub and Services will contribute significantly, triggering the strengthening of domestic supply chains not only in the capital but throughout Indonesia as well as making logistics costs more affordable, accelerating and streamlining logistics movements throughout Indonesia,” he said.
