President Jokowi Issues Decree for 2024 Collective Leave Days
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has issued Presidential Decree Number 7 of 2024 on Collective Leave Days for State Civil Apparatus in 2024.
This decree was issued to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of working days as well as to provide guidelines for government agencies in implementing collective leave in 2024.
Following is the list of collective leaves in 2024 according to the decree:
- Friday, February 9, 2024, collective leave on Chinese New Year;
- Tuesday, March 12, 2024, collective leave on Nyepi Day;
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday, April 8, 9, 12, and 15, 2024, collective leave on Eid al-Fitr;
- Friday, May 10, 2024, collective leave on Ascension Day of Christ;
- Friday, May 24, 2024, collective leave on Vesak Day;
- Tuesday, June 18, 2024, collective leave on Eid al-Adha; and
- Thursday, December 26, 2024, collective leave on Christmas Day.
It is stated in the decree that the collective leave will not deduct the annual leave quota for state civil apparatus.
In addition, state civil apparatus who due to their positions are not given the right to collective leave, their annual leave quota will be added according to the amount of collective leave not granted.
This Presidential Decree began to take effect on the date of its promulgation of January 9, 2024.
