President Jokowi Inaugurates Two New Ministers of Indonesia Onward Cabinet
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (02/21) inaugurated two new Ministers of Indonesia Onward Cabinet for the remaining tenure of 2019-2024 period at the State Palace, Jakarta.
The two new inaugurated ministers were Hadi Tjahjanto as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, or known as AHY, as Minister for Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN).
The inauguration was held based on Decree of the President of the Republic of Number 34/P of 2024 on Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of Indonesia Onward Cabinet for the Period of 2019-2024 which was stipulated by President Jokowi in Jakarta, on February 20, 2024.
After reading out the Presidential Decree, President Jokowi led both inaugurated Ministers to take the oath.
“I do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and execute all laws and regulations in an upright manner for my dedication to the state and nation, that I, during performing my duties, will strongly uphold the office ethics, work at my best with full responsibility,” President Jokowi led both Ministers to take the oath of office.
Hadi Tjahjanto was inaugurated as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs to replace his predecessor Mahfud MD. Meanwhile, Agus Harimurti assumed the position to fill Hadi Tjahjanto’s previous position. (DND/UN)(AW/MUR)
