Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads for the Purwodadi-Wirosari-Blora Section, Blora Regency, Central Java Province, January 23, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Distinguished Minister of Public Works and Public Housing and other Ministers present, [Acting] Governor of Central Java, Regent of Blora Regency,

As we know that in 2023, the Government has issued a budget of Rp14.6 trillion for the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads, which is divided among several provinces in the country to carry out road construction. And, Central Java province received Rp1.36 trillion and specifically Blora Regency received a budget of Rp257 billion, which is a substantial amount of money.

Therefore, the road between Purwodadi and Blora, I have seen and felt for myself, is very smooth. For years, usually the Solo-Purwodadi-Blora road is always bumpy because of the dynamic soil, and the road construction of which is not using asphalt but built with concrete materials.

Although the price is higher, we choose concrete because it is more durable and has a longer lifespan.

And, by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, I inaugurate the implementation of the Regional Road Presidential Instruction for the Purwodadi-Wirosari-Blora, Wulung-Klatak, and Randublatung-Getas Roads in Blora Regency, with all funds sourced from the Regional Road Presidential Instruction budget.
