Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of the Replacement of Callender-Hamilton Bridge, Ciloseh Bridge, and Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads Implementation Projects, at Citanduy Bridge, Banjar City, West Java Province, August 29, 2024

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Honorable Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Mayor of Banjar city and Mayor of Tasikmalaya city,
Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today, thank God, we will inaugurate 16 Callender-Hamilton bridges in West Java province spread across 8 regencies and cities with a total length of 1,030 meters and an investment of Rp1.9 trillion.

We will also inaugurate 22 road sections, spanning 121 kilometers built under the Presidential Instruction for Regional Roads Implementation Project in West Java province. These are located in 13 regencies and cities, with an investment of Rp521 billion. And finally, we will also inaugurate the Ciloseh bridge in Tasikmalaya city which costs Rp112 billion.

We hope that this bridge, which is part of the northern ring of Tasikmalaya city, will improve connectivity and accessibility to the airport and Tasikmalaya city as well as overcome congestion in the city.

The development and improvement of infrastructure in these various regions aim to improve connectivity, streamline logistics costs, as well as facilitate activities and mobility of people and goods.

This concludes my remarks. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby inaugurate 16 Callender-Hamilton replacement bridges, 22 road sections built under the Presidential Instruction for Regional Roads, and the Ciloseh bridge in West Java province.
