Distinguished Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Minister of Trade, Governor of North Sumatra and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkompimda), Regent of Simalungun,

Esteemed President Director of [PT] Hutama Karya,

Distinguished Community Leaders and Religious Leaders,

My beloved children,

Good morning.

Alhamdulillah, this morning, we will soon inaugurate the 26.2 km Binjai-Langsa Toll Road Section II (Stabat-Tanjung Pura) that has been built since 2020 with a budget of Rp11.6 trillion. We will also inaugurate the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road Section III and IV spanning 45.6 kilometers, that has been built since 2018 and spent a budget of Rp6 trillion.

These segments are part of the 2,994-kilometer Trans-Sumatra Toll Road. We aim to have 1,100 kilometers of the Sumatra Toll Road completed by the end of the year. Specifically for this toll road, only 40 kilometers left to reach Parapat in Lake Toba. We are very close to completion.

Earlier, the Regent of Simalungun mentioned that previously, it took 3.5 to 4 hours to travel from Medan to here. Now, it only takes about an hour and a half.

The construction of this toll road will stimulate the emergence of new economic hubs along the Binjai-Langsa and Tebing Tinggi-Parapat corridors. It will enhance regional competitiveness and improve logistics system. The increased mobility of people and goods will bolster our ability to compete with other countries.

This concludes what I want to convey on this good occasion. And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby officially inaugurate the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road Section II (Stabat-Tanjung Pura) and the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road Sections III and IV (Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan-Sinaksak) in North Sumatra province this morning.
