Ladies and Gentlemen,

First and foremost, let us express our deepest gratitude to Allah, God the Almighty, Sovereign of all creation.  It is to Him alone that we pray, and to Him alone that we ask for help.

We are grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon us as a nation, for the health granted to us, so that we can be present at this historic event today.

I sincerely apologize for not being able to attend in person due to weather uncertainties. I was prepared to depart at 8 a.m., but as the weather worsened, I had no choice but to participate via video conference. Once again, I apologize. I really wish to attend the event in person. I will find time to visit and inspect these projects, which are so important, so historical, and so prideful for us as a nation and as individuals

Distinguished Guests,

The inauguration of renewable energy operations and development in 15 provinces, along with the 30,000-barrel increase in oil production at the Cepu Block, marks a highly significant moment in our nation’s development. Through these programs and projects—and many more major initiatives that we must and will carry out—our efforts are directed toward achieving national energy self-sufficiency.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Sovereignty of a nation depends on their ability to feed the people and to ensure a decent life and livelihood for its people. And in this regard, the role of energy is crucial for life in the 21st century and beyond. We are truly grateful to God the Almighty that the Indonesian nation is blessed with extraordinary potential and abundant natural wealth.

My fellow citizens,

The Indonesian nation is currently moving toward food self-sufficiency in a fast and steady manner. I have set a target to achieve food self-sufficiency in four years. To my surprise, the national production has already shown a significant increase during the past months. So, I guess we are now moving closer to food self-sufficiency in just a year. The rice and corn reserves in our government warehouses are the largest in the history of the Republic of Indonesia. Our food production in the first half of this year is also the highest ever in the history of the Republic of Indonesia. I have visited several locations, where production has increased by an average of 40 to 50 percent.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have expressed my belief that Indonesia will not only achieve food self-sufficiency but also be a global food estate.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This also serves as a guarantee that we will survive as a nation. Even if a major global crisis were to occur, we are now confident that we have a sufficient food supply for the entire Indonesian people.

Energy is an integral part of national sovereignty. We are grateful that Indonesia possesses extraordinary renewable energy resources. We only need to manage and utilize them to their fullest potential. Today is proof of Indonesia’s capability to move toward energy self-sufficiency, which is an essential pillar for our nation’s future.

Today, we inaugurate and commence the construction of 55 new and renewable energy power plants. We also launch geothermal power plants as concrete evidence that Indonesia is advancing toward energy self-sufficiency. We will stand on our own feet, and we will be able to provide energy to all Indonesians in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to everyone who has worked hard, as well as to our partners from abroad, the private sector, and all other sectors.

I am delighted and proud to see our youth playing an active role. Our young engineers and workers can manage highly sophisticated and complex projects. This fills me with great pride.

My fellow citizens,

With what we are doing today, in particular, I would like to also express my appreciation to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia and all of his staff from the Ministry, SKK Migas, who have worked exceptionally well and produced tangible results, managing well without personal or group interests, producing the best for the people.

Distinguished Guests,

To all strategic partners of the Republic of Indonesia, both domestic and abroad, who have been playing effective and active roles. I’ve observed here that Medco Energi, currently led by my friend Hilmi Panigoro, continues to play an active role. I would also like to express my gratitude to ExxonMobil, which has partnered with us for quite some time and continues to deliver the best outcomes for the Indonesian nation.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all foreign partners, especially our friend from ExxonMobil. You have been loyal to Indonesia and Indonesia will not forget your loyalty, and your participation in our effort to achieve a modern and self-reliant Indonesia. Once again, on behalf Indonesian people, I would like to thank you, pass on my best regard to all your executives. Once again, thank you very much

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have received a report that we have abundant oil and gas reserves. Technology to accelerate the development of energy project is now widely accessible. Nevertheless, renewable energy, especially solar power, remains the most strategic source for the future.

With solar energy, every village can achieve energy self-sufficiency. Every district can be energy self-sufficient. Every regency can be energy self-sufficient. Remote islands will also gain energy sufficiency. Even the remotest villages in the mountains will have access to energy and electricity. We will be optimistic to face the future.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We will collaborate with all elements of the Government, private sector, and partners from abroad to carry on programs that will help us to achieve energy elf-sufficiency, particularly those related to renewable energy projects. We might become a country that achieves zero carbon emissions by the targeted timeline. More importantly, we must be able to produce energy efficiently, at an affordable cost, and by cutting expensive logistical routes. This is the impact of our large-scale program.

I believe that is all I wanted to convey. Thank you.

I am extremely proud that today as your President, I want to thank you for the support from all echelon units, ministries, directorate generals, work units, provinces, including the governors, vice governors, regional secretaries, regents, mayors, and all of you. I am of the view that Indonesia is now at a turning point—an era of revival, of optimism, of hard work.

Therefore, I once again remind all officials and personnel in our State-Owned Enterprises to improve and uphold efficient work practices, deliver services with the best, most transparent and clean management. Give your best to the Indonesian people. Give your best in managing natural resources, efficiently. We must also continue to fight corruption, manipulation, inefficiency, particularly in work practices.  By doing so, our economy will improve significantly, and the welfare of our people will increase, and we will become the nation we aspire to be: a modern nation, an advanced nation, and a prosperous nation, where all citizens enjoy prosperity. That is our goal. And today is a very meaningful day in our struggle toward prosperity and justice. Thank you.

And, by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the Operation and Development of Renewable Energy in 15 Provinces, the Increase of Oil Production by 30,000 Barrels in the Cepu Block, as well as the Groundbreaking Ceremony for five Geothermal Power Plants in Indonesia.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto)

Thank you.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

Thank you. Please do your work well so that you can get incentives. Now, those in West Sumatra and Solok will greet Mr. President, as the Governor of Solok is right next to me, and I am afraid he might keep nudging me. Let’s give the floor to Solok

Regent of South Solok (Khairunas)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

Honorable President of the Republic of Indonesia.

First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to Mr. President. We report that the geothermal potential in South Solok Regency is 310 megawatts, and from 2017 until today, 80 megawatts have been developed. We are now entering the second phase, where we will add another 80 megawatts. Inshallah [God willing], the ongoing investment is worth approximately Rp7 trillion. We convey our gratitude to Supreme Energy [a private energy company], Mr. President, and Mr. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Additionally, we currently receive around Rp30 billion annually from our initial development. We hope that we will gain even more in this second phase. Alhamdulillah [praise be to God], the second phase is bringing improvements to South Solok Regency. Next, we would like to convey— (connection lost)

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

Now, I would like to invite Manado, North Sulawesi. Their explanation is important since their island is located near the Philippines. Please proceed.

Regent of Sangihe Islands (Michael Tunggari)

Good afternoon, Honorable Mr. President, Distinguished Minister,

First of all, I would like to express my pride in being able to interact with and personally greet you, Mr. President.

Next, I would like to thank the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN [the state-owned electricity company] for providing electricity for our area in North Sulawesi province, which is also your hometown, Mr. President, specifically on Lipan Island, Kendahe district, Sangihe Islands regency.

I would like to report, Mr. President, that 64 households are currently benefiting from the newly connected electricity. Previously, we were very limited in many aspects, but since we have access to electricity, our fishermen can now store their catch properly; our children can study at night; and our health has improved since we can now benefit from existing technology. Therefore, from the northernmost tip of Indonesia, the Sangihe Islands regency, we express our deepest gratitude to you, Mr. President, and Mr. Minister, for the presence of the Republic of Indonesia here at the border. Thank you, Sir.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

Now, you will see Mr. President greeting all of you from North Sulawesi, as well as from West Sumatra, whose microphone cable suddenly got disconnected earlier. Mr. President, the floor is yours.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto)

Thank you. I am delighted that electricity has reached your area and is functioning well. We will continue this effort across Indonesia. I guarantee every village will be connected to electricity, and Indonesia will become energy self-sufficient. We will not depend on anything beyond our capabilities.

Thank you, thank you, and congratulations to all.
Please, go ahead.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

There are still three more. The first one is from the Bali Solar Power Plant, they produce 25 megawatts and as you know, Mr. President, this is the first one in Bali. Bali, the floor is now yours.

Representatives from East Bali Solar Power Plant

Good afternoon, Mr. President.

Thank you for inaugurating the Medco East Bali Solar Power Plant. We have been operating since last week, on June 17th, in collaboration with the Central Government, local government, and PLN. We are committed to continuously enhancing energy self-sufficiency and energy security, especially for Bali.

Thank you, Mr. President.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto)

Thank you.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

Now, you will see Mr. President greeting all of you from Bali.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto)

I extend my congratulations. I believe this is very important since Bali must have sufficient energy, as it is our tourism hub. Bali is a top travel destination for many foreign nations. I hope that by establishing the solar power plant in Bali, similar projects will also spread to other parts of Indonesia.

Thank you, thank you, and congratulations to all.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia)

There are still two more. Now it’s the turn of South Papua, the easternmost part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. South Papua, the floor is now yours.

Regent of Mappi Regency (Kristosimus Yohanes Sagamewu)

Assalamu’alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

May peace be upon us all,

I am Kristosimus Yohanes Sagamewu, Regent of Mappi regency, South Papua province. On behalf of the people of Mappi, I would like to express our deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the President Director of PT PLN, and all ranks of PT PLN for their unwavering support and dedication in building the nation through the solar power plant that we are now using in Muin village. This facility serves Muin and Madu villages in Obaa district, Mappi regency, South Papua province.

Furthermore, I report to the President that the solar power plants currently serve approximately 147 households with a total capacity of 50 kWP (kilowatt-peak). Across the Mapi Regency, which consists of about 15 districts and 162 villages, there are still approximately 67 villages without electricity.

We kindly request that PT PLN evaluate this report for future improvements.

Furthermore, now that electricity is available, we in Mapi Regency would like to express our gratitude as we are now able to use it to support AI-based school learning, which we launched on May 2nd, and also to meet the requirements of the national exam process.

Electricity also supports our economy. It helps reduce the impact of cultural habits in which people work from dawn till dusk as parents can now use electricity at night to accompany their children—helping shape their characters through cultural values, religious teachings, and good social conduct.

We would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation for this entire process has that brought benefits to us in the land of Papua.

Please accept our greetings from Mapi Regency, the City of a Million Swamps—usubi yohokuda—peace, purity of heart, and mutual service.

We wish good health and continued success to the President and your administration. May you continue to lead in a way that fosters harmony for all of us here in Papua.

Thank you from Mapi Regency. I now return the floor.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):

Thank you, Regent of Mapi, thank you. I am here to ensure that we will provide electricity to every village across Indonesia as quickly as possible.

This is my firm commitment as President of the Republic of Indonesia, and we are capable of doing it. It won’t be long before we reach every village. So please trust that [state-owned electricity company] PLN will work hard—but everyone else will too, including the private sector. This is our strategy to ensure that electricity reaches every village.

Among other efforts, we will soon establish cooperatives in every village. The Merah Putih Village Cooperatives will be present in every village across Indonesia. These cooperatives will also serve as a network, enabling products from each village to reach the regency quickly, and from the regency to the province, and from the national level back to the village level. There, we will also promote the use of solar power generation.

So, inshaallah, in the not-too-distant future, we will bring electricity to every village in Indonesia. I believe we can achieve this in less than four years—my target is for every village in Indonesia to have electricity within four years.

Thank you, thank you.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia):
Mr President, if I may, one last question from another participant.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):
Ah, I just remember that Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources is from Papua too.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia):
Yes, Mr President. I know Papua inside and out.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):
You’re lucky, aren’t you? Lucky enough to become a minister.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia):

If you allow me, Mr. President, we have one final question remaining—from the participant from Bogor, specifically from Mount Salak, West Java. We now give them the floor.

Regent of Sukabumi Regency (Asep Japar):

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

May peace be upon us all.
Your Excellency, President of the Republic of Indonesia, and all distinguished guests,

On behalf of the Government of Sukabumi Regency, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the President, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Minister of Forestry, and all officials who have supported the development of the Star Energy Geothermal Salak field within the Mount Halimun Salak National Park in Sukabumi Regency.

On this occasion, allow me to also inform the President that there are numerous strategic projects in Sukabumi Regency.

If I may, Mr. President, I would like to report that the Star Energy Geothermal Salak facility in our region has generated 381 megawatts of electricity, and an additional 63.32 megawatts is expected from the ongoing project—bringing the total output to 444.2 megawatts. This can meet the electricity needs of approximately 495,000 households and has brought a significant positive impact on regional development.

Firstly, in terms of fiscal contribution, the geothermal sector greatly supports regional revenue through profit-sharing funds, production bonuses, and local tax revenues such as land and building tax (PBB) and other taxes. These funds allow us to have a greater fiscal space to finance equitable infrastructure development and improve public services.

Secondly, on the social aspect, Star Energy has consistently implemented corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community empowerment programs. In the past three years alone, more than 30 initiatives have been successfully carried out in the areas of education, health, and environmental sustainability. These programs have significantly improved the quality of life of our communities in the surrounding areas.

Thirdly, the presence of Star Energy Geothermal Salak has brought a major impact on the local economy by lowering unemployment and increasing household incomes through the recruitment of local workers—around 85 percent of whom come from Sukabumi and Bogor. In addition, eight local business associations have been established as partners in support services.

Thank you, Mr. President. The presence of Star Energy in Sukabumi has indeed brought immense benefits to our region.

I would also like to thank you for the inclusion of strategic projects in Sukabumi, notably the construction of toll road Section III which has now entered Sukabumi Regency. We hope Section IV will reach Pelabuhan Ratu to further boost local economy and tourism in Sukabumi Regency.

Thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):

Thank you, Mr. Regent of Sukabumi.
Yes, we will certainly continue to push for strategic projects that will contribute to the development of Sukabumi that is also very significant and important, making a substantial contribution to the national economy. Thank you.

I also want to thank Star Energy for their excellent work. My appreciation, thank you.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil Lahadalia):

If you allow me, Mr. President, and with all due respect, there is one more, Mr. President—West Sumatra—that you have not yet greeted or given a few words of encouragement to. We kindly ask for your attention. Please, go ahead—Solok.

Regent of South Solok Regency (Khairunas):

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Your Excellency, Mr. President, whom we deeply honor and admire, and also Distinguished Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia,

We would like to report, Mr. President, that [PT] Supreme Energy operates in South Solok Regency with a potential capacity of 310 megawatts. This is now in its second phase. The first phase (bad connection on the video conference) has produced 86 megawatts, and the second phase is generating 80 megawatts. We respectfully seek your support for the third phase, planned for 2030. We truly place our hopes in you, Mr. President, and in Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In this era of budget efficiency, we have received significant investment in West Sumatra and in South Solok Regency, amounting to Rp7 trillion. This potential is being realized with 87 percent of the workforce made up of locals from South Solok, employed by PT Supreme Energy. We hope this project continues smoothly and successfully.

From South Solok and West Sumatra, we pray for your continued good health, Mr. President, and for the progress and prosperity of Indonesia.

Thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):

Thank you, Mr. Regent.

Please convey my greetings to everyone in South Solok and West Sumatra. I am truly pleased. We will continue to accelerate development and ensure that it reaches all regions.

I see that our capabilities are immense, our potential is great, and our future is very bright.

What’s important is that we remain calm, stay united, and stand together in harmony. We must work hand in hand and all officials and government personnel must work hard—work for the people, work efficiently, and must not be involved in any misconduct.

That is my directive to all ranks of government. We will continue to grow and we will rise to become a prosperous nation.

Thank you, and once again, congratulations.
