Teten explained that in the first year of Jokowi-JK administration, the inefficiency in economy has been cut, and time-consuming bureaucracy and complicated permit have been simplified.
Furthermore, Teten added, the Government currently is performing political and bureaucratic consolidations, as well as infrastructure development.
(The Government) also changes their mindset through a mental revolution, Teten firmly said.
According to Teten, the Government is now on the revolution.
He also said that there were many unfinished infrastructures that have been recently constructed again.
Electricity and other necessities to support industries in the future will be completed with infrastructure and energy developments, he added.
Regarding food self-sufficiency, Teten said that it is impossible to be implemented if 52 percent of irrigation canals are damaged, lands shrink and there are dams that have not been built yet.
Those are issues which must be fixed, Teten said.
However, Teten further said that this year, we will not able to harvest because we are just digging the land.
He later mentioned this year is not the year for harvesting but managing.
The Presidential Chief of Staff believes that the results of the Governments efforts would be felt by the people in the next 3-4 years, not now. (UN/ES) (RAS/EP/YM/Naster)
