President Jokowi Conveys Condolences on Paris Terrorist Attacks
President Joko Jokowi Widodo conveyed his deep condolences for the terror attacks in Paris, France, on 13 November 2015 that claimed innocent civilians.
President Jokowi delivered the statement during the Leaders Statement Event of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Conference of Parties (COP) 21, at the Loire area Parc des Expositions du Bourget, Paris, France, on Monday (30/11) afternoon local time.
The President asserted that Indonesia, as the largest muslim population in the world, affirmed that Islam promotes peace and tolerance.
The acts of terrorism can not be associated with any religion, nation, or race, the President firmly said.
President Jokowi delivered his speech on Monday (30/11) at 4.45 p.m local time or 10.45 p.m Western Indonesian Time.
Starting his speech, the President directly mentioned the act of terrorism which happened in France.
As previously reported, terrorist attacks hit in Paris on Friday (13/11) involving shooting rampage, and suicide explosions in several locations, killing at least 132 peoples and injuring hundreds. (TKP/ES)(RAS/EP/YM/Naster)
