The elected President and Vice President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Jusuf Kalla (JK) have uttered the vow and sign the minutes of inauguration of President and Vice President of Republic of Indonesia (RI) 2014 – 2019 at Plenary Assembly of MPR RI, in Jakarta on Monday (20/10) morning.

“By Allah, I vowed to fulfill the obligations of President of the Republic of Indonesia to the best and most fair, to uphold the Constitution and the laws, regulations,  and devote to homeland”, Jokowi said.

While Jusuf Kalla said “By Allah, I vowed to fulfill obligations of Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia to the best and most fair, uphold the Constitution and the laws, regulations, and devote to homeland”.

Megawati, SBY, and Prabowo

The inauguration of President and Vice President of RI 2014 – 2019 is special because not only leaders from 19 countries attend this event, but also Indonesian leaders who have not met for a long time. Former President Megawati Soekarnoputri sat side by side with former President BJ. Habibie, and Shinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid (wife of former President Abdurrahman Wahid).

Ani Bambang Yudhoyono, Herawati Boediono,  former Vice President Boediono, former Vice President Try Sutrisno, former Vice President Hamzah Has, and wife of former Vice President Umar Wirahadikusumah are also attend the inauguration.
