President Jokowi Accompanies SBY and Madame Ani Yudhoyono at East Gate to Leave Istana Negara
After riding Royal Carriage from Bundaran Hotel Indonesia, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Madame Iriana Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) with Madame Mufidah Jusuf Kalla arrive at Istana Negara in Jakarta, on Monday (20/10) around 02:30 PM. Their arrival are welcomed by the former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) accompanied by Madame Ani Yudhoyono and ex Cabinet Indonesia Union II.
Preceded by national anthem, Indonesia Raya, President Jokowi and SBY follow military ceremony. Next, President Jokowi and SBY inspect the military ranks on foot. Ceremony closed by singing national anthem, Indonesia Raya.
After the ceremony, President Jokowi together with SBY and their wifes enter Jepara meeting room to have a break. Then after five minutes break, both President Jokowi and SBY have a press conference. SBY said that leaders could come and go, but all want to do the best for this nation.
SBY reminds that a leader, whoever he is, could not perform the task alone. Leader, SBY adds, definitely needs helps and support from the people of Indonesia.
SBY request employees at the Presidential Institution to give the best support and helps to President Jokowi and family. As what is given to me and Madame Ani, SBY said. President Jokowi express gratitude to SBY for showing the entire place of the palace. Thank you Mr. SBY, for showing me the entire place of this palace. Bed rooms, guest room, and garden. There are birds at the garden, said Jokowi.
President Jokowi wishes SBY a long, blessful and healthy life, which SBY answers with aamiin by rising up palm in front of chest as appreciation for the pray. After the press conference, President Jokowi with Madame Iriana Joko Widodo take Mr. SBY and Mrs. Ani to the East Gate to leave Istana Merdeka (Istana Negara) for Cikeas Bogor, West Java.
