Indonesia will become a better, a developed country, be free from the poverty, and its people will have physical and spiritual happiness if the people always rely on the guidance of the Koran, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo said.

“Yaa Allah, it is You (Alone) we worship and You (Alone) we ask for help,” the President added.

Nowadays, we need guidance in the Koran to change the lives of the nation to become an improved, a tolerant country that free from poverty, the President said.

Up until now, Indonesia has not been free from poverty, social gap, and inequality among regions. The regions in the country from Sabang to Merauke are also not connected yet, while integrated in national economy is not strong and productive yet.

In the meantime, the Koran teaches us to know each other or ta’aruf, understand each other or tafahum, cooperate and help each other in every aspects or ta’awun.

“The Koran teaches us to work hard to change our fates and the nation’s fate as well,” the President said adding that the Koran teaches us to be patient, optimistic, creative, trust Allah’s plan or tawakal, and always learn in order to bring Indonesia as the winner in the competition.

Therefore, in order to eradicate poverty and boost the investment, the Government is now focused on several areas relating deregulation of permits that considered detrimental to national economic development as well as focus on developing infrastructures to bridge connectivity among the regions around the country, and improving human resources qualities to compete with other countries, the President explained.
