President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo revealed a secret about his acrobatic actions at the opening of the 2018 Asian Games at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta that amazed hundreds of thousands of spectators and sparked controversies among politicians.

“These politicians talked about the stuntman. What do you expect? It must be stuntman’s work. It was not me,” President Jokowi said in his remarks at the Opening of the 36th Congress of the Indonesian Christian Students Movement (GMKI) in Bogor, West Java, Friday (14/9).

According to the President, there is no need to ask if there is a stuntman in the acrobatic motorbike action as presented on television screens and big screens at GBK Main Stadium at the opening of the Games.

“It’s impossible for me to do it by myself,” President Jokowi said, followed by the applause from the participants of GMKI Congress. The President went on say that it was for entertainment purposes only.

“Enjoy it as part of the opening ceremony of the grand event (Asian Games),” President Jokowi concluded.

For the record, President Jokowi’s actions rode a motorcycle heading the GBK Main Stadium on the opening of the 2018 Asian Games amazed the public and made headlines.

At that time, ‘President Jokowi’ seemed to be snaking on the road with his motorbike to arrive on time at the GBK Main Stadium to open the Games. Later, President Jokowi explained that the action was done by a stuntman. (MAY/AGG/ES) (GWH/STU/EP/Naster)
