Advancing Indonesia Team to be on Duty on Flag-lowering Ceremony

After the national flag hoisting troop (Paskibraka) members from Resilient Indonesia Team hoisted the red-and-white flag during a flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate the proclamation of Indonesia’s independence on Tuesday (17/8) morning, later in the afternoon, Paskibraka members from Advancing Indonesia Team will carry out the duty on a flag-lowering ceremony, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

The Paskibraka members are all high school students. Qyara Maharani Putri representing West Java province is assigned to carry the national flag, whereas M. Bimantara Widyanto representing West Sumatra province, Haafiz Habibullah representing East Java province, and Zaidaan Kamal Anwar representing Central Java province are in charge of lowering the flag.

Colonel Inf. Faisol Izuddin Karimi, the Commander of Brigif 26/Gurana Piarawaimo XVIII Regional Military Command/Kasuari, will act as the commander of the ceremony, while Brig. Gen. Novi Helmy Prasetya, the Chief of Staff of the Permanent Garrison I/Jakarta, will act as the ceremonial officer. (PRESIDENTIAL SECRETARIAT /UN)(RAS/MMB)
