ASEAN Leaders Arrive in Indonesia for 43rd ASEAN Summit

Several ASEAN leaders arrived one by one at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten on Monday (09/04) for the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

The arrival of those leaders was welcomed by honor guard and traditional dance performance.

The Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao was the first to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 07.50 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). He was welcomed by Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and Expert Staff of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for Talent Management Tatang Musttaqin.

Afterwards, Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh arrived at 10.35 WIB. He was welcomed by Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno and Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia, Ta Van Thong.

The third to arrive were Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet and his spouse at 11.30 WIB, who were welcome by Minister Sandiaga Uno and Cambodian Ambassador to Indonesia, Iv Heang.

Following the arrival of PM Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Laos, Sonexay Siphandone and his spouse arrived at 13.20 WIB. They were welcomed by Acting Governor of Banten, Al Muktabar and Expert Staff to the Institutional Relation and Society, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Muhammad Adlin Sila.

For the record, Prime Minister of Cook Islands, Mark Brown Sunday (03/09) arrived in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia at 19.25 WIB. His arrival was welcomed by Acting Governor Banten, Al Muktabar and Secretary General of Ministry of Transportation, Novie Riyanto. PM Brown is scheduled to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit as the Chairperson of Pacific Islands Forum (PIF). (UN) (SS/RAS)
