Asian Games: Downhill Cycling Race Delivers 2 Golds Medals for Indonesia
Indonesian athletes competing at the 2018 Asian Games continue to boost their spirit to present medals for the country.
After Lindswell Kwok bagged 1 gold medal in Wushu, Indonesia adds two more gold medals from downhill cycling race in the final race held in Subang, West Java, Monday (20/8).
Tiara Andini Prastika clinched a gold medal in womens downhill cycling with a time of 2:33.056 followed by Thailands Vipavee Deekaballes who came 9.608 seconds and won a silver medal. Another Indonesia cyclist, Nining Purwaningsih, secured the bronze after finishing in third place.
Another gold medal was won by Khoiful Mukhib, who reigned supreme in the mens downhill cycling with a time of 2:16.687. Khoiful was 1.497 second faster than Chiang Shengshan from Chinese Taipei who won the silver medal. The bronze medal was clinched by Thailand athlete Suebsakun Sukchanya.
The results has brought the host nation 4 gold medals, 1 bronze, 1 silver and moved to the fourth place behind China, Japan, and Korea as of Tuesday morning.
China still tops the medal tally with 16 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze, followed by Japan with 8 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze.
