Jetski athlete Aqsa Sutan Aswar pockets the 12th gold for Indonesia on Endurance Open Runabout, at Ancol, North Jakarta, Sunday (26/8)

Jetski athlete Aqsa Sutan Aswar grabbed the 12th gold medal for Indonesia after scoring the highest points of 1,148, in the Endurance Runabout Open class, at Ancol, North Jakarta, Sunday (8/26).

Aqsa outclassed Ali Allanjawi of the United Arab Emirates and Suphathat Footrakul of Thailand, who scored 1,127 and 1,088 points to earn silver and bronze, respectively.

It is the second medal for Aqsa as he previously bagged a bronze medal from the limited runabout category. Meanwhile, Aero, Aqsa’s brother, won silver in the category on Saturday.

Twelve medals are up for grabs in four categories in the jetski event, namely runabout 1100 stock, ski modified, runabout limited and endurance runabout open. (yan) (*/ICE) (STU/EP/Naster)
