Paragliding team wins gold in men’s accuracy at Gunung Mas, Puncak, Cianjur, West Java Province, on Wednesday (22/8)

Indonesia has once again added more gold from men’s paragliding team at the 2018 Asian Games. The team won in accuracy (for landing) in the competition held at Gunung Mas, Puncak, Cianjur, West Java Province, Wednesday (8/22).

The five Indonesian male athletes, namely Aris Apriansyah, Joni Efendi, Jafro Megawanto, Paradigma Hening and Roni Pratama, earned 315, 272, 70, 228, 64, and 95 points in each round with total of 1104 points, followed by South Korea with 1771 points and Thailand with 1901 points.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian women’s paragliding team, consisting of Rika Wijayanti, Ike Ayu Wulandari, and Eka Nesti Wulandari who competed in the same number bagged silver with 2122 points.

Thailand women’s team secured gold with 2045 points and in the third place was South Korea with 2363 points.

With the addition of one gold medal from the Paragliding Team, the host country is now in 5th place by collecting 6 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze. (* / ES) (STU/EP/Naster)
