Asian Para Games: Suparniyati Wins Second Gold in Shot Put

suparniyatiSuparniyati, Indonesian shot put athlete, secured a gold medal on the third day of the 2018 Asian Para Games after making 10.75-meter throw.

During the match held on Monday (8/10) at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta, Suparniyati beat Japan’s Nikada Hiromi, who won silver medal with 10.51-meter throw. In the meantime, another Indonesian shot put athlete Towa won a bronze medal with 6.44 throw.

With the addition of 1 gold and 1 bronze, Indonesia has secured 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medal so far.

Previously Indonesian men’s team badminton picked up the first gold medal for the host country after defeating the Malaysian team 2-1 in a match held at Istora GBK, Jakarta, Sunday (7 / 10).
