Batik as Dress Code for President Jokowi, PM Mark Rutte Bilateral Meeting

All delegations and staffs, including President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte themselves, were seen wearing Indonesian batik during a bilateral meeting between the two leaders at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Monday (7/10).

Arriving around 10:55 a.m., the Dutch PM, who was wearing a brown batik top, was greeted by President Jokowi, who also donned a similar batik color.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also introduced a number of officials who accompanied him in the meeting, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.

President Jokowi and his Netherlands counterpart then proceeded to the Teratai Room for joint photo session, followed by the signing of guest book. Afterwards, both figures headed to Veranda Talk for a bilateral meeting and ended with a joint press statement.
