BI Holds Monthly Policy Dissemination Event

Indonesian central bank Bank Indonesia (BI) on Monday (23/9) held a thematic forum of Public Relations Coordinating Board (Bakohumas) adopting a theme “Recent Economic Development and Policy Design for Payment System in Indonesia”, at Best Western Hotel, Solo, Central Java.

Deputy Director of Department of Communication of BI Dwi Mukti Wibowo said in his remarks that the Central Bank organizes monthly public education and dissemination of BI policies and invites not only ministries/institutions, but also mass media, academics, and the community.

“In order to ensure that BI policies are implemented in all aspects and to promote the policies to the community,” Dwi said.

Therefore, Dwi expressed his hopes that the forum will provide inputs and suggestions to the BI so it can further improve the formulation of its policies.

Also attending the event were representatives from ministries/institutions, Director General of Public Information and Communication of Ministry of Communication and Informatics Prof. Dr. Widodo Muktiyo, Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Solo Bambang Pramono, and officials of BI’s Department of Communication.
