BPIP Confers Awards to 74 Pancasila Icons
The Agency of the Implementation of State Ideology of Pancasila (BPIP) gave its appreciation to 74 people considered to be Pancasila icons during the BPIP concert entitled “Appreciation of the Achievement of Pancasila in 2019” at De Tjolomadoe, Karanganyar Regency in Central Java, Monday (19/8).
Those 74 people were selected from four categories, namely science and innovation, sports, cultural arts and creative fields, and social entrepreneurs.
Based on the BPIP Decree Number 10 of 2019 on 74 Pancasila Appreciation Icons in 2019, there are names known to public including Lalu Muhammad Zohri (runner) and Indra Sjafrie (soccer coach) in the category of sports.
In the art category are actor Ari Sihasale, actress Nia Zulkarnaen, singer Iwan Fals, Livi Zheng, Ki Manteb Sudarsono, artist Didi Nini Thowok, actress Christine Hakim, politician Gus Mus, composer Addie MS, actor Butet Kertaradjasa, actor Slamet Rahardjo, and singer Trie Utami, while in the social entrepreneurs category are Nadiem Makariem and Habib Lutfi.
The awards were presented to those 74 figures by BPIP Steering Board Member Wisnu Bawa Tenaya, Advisor for the BPIP, Acting Head of BPIP Haryono, and Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo.
During the concert, Haryono read lyrical prose and Governor Ganjar read a poem by the first President of Indonesia Soekarno entitled “Aku Melihat Indonesia” (I see Indonesia), followed by a choir performance and other art performances. (EN/ES)
