Newly-inaugurated Managing Director of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers Social Security Provider Body), Anggoro Eko Cahyo, made a firm commitment to carry out digital transformation.

The measure is taken in order to address three main challenges, namely, increasing number of workers registered as active participants, improvement of services and benefits for the workers, and optimization of investment because the participants have rights to obtain the investment return.

“Today, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has trusted Directors of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to manage considerable amount of fund. For that reason, we will execute our tasks with high integrity, good management, and innovation,” Anggoro said after the inauguration of Board of Supervisors and Board of Directors of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers Social Security Provider Body), Monday (22/2), at the State Palace, Jakarta.

He also affirmed his commitment to enhance cooperation and communication with all stakeholders. The BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, he added, will also improve collaboration with ministries/institutions.

“Since we cannot work alone, we must establish good communication and coordination with the Board of Supervisors,” he said

Echoing similar sentiment, Head of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s Board of Supervisors, Muhammad Zuhri, asserted that he will do the utmost for the advancement of the Body and for the sake of people’s welfare.

“We must work together in carrying out these challenging tasks. In order to improve the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and people’s welfare, I am ready to work hand in hand with the Board of Directors. I also need support from the public and workers,” he said.

For the record, President Jokowi on that occasion inaugurated seven members of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s Board of Supervisors and seven members of Board of Directors for 2021-2026 term of office. (DND/UN) (RAS/MMB)
