BPK Grants Unqualified Opinion for 2018 Cabinet Secretariat Financial Report

Cabinet Secretariat received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its 2018 financial report. The official statement was handed over by BPK Member Achsanul Qosasi to Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati at the BPK office, Jakarta, Monday (17/6).

The Cabinet Secretariat manages to gain Unqualified Opinion for seven consecutive times, since 2013.

On that occasion, the BPK also presented awards to 38 Government Ministries/Institutions and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions (LPNK), of which 37 received Unqualified opinions, and none of them received Disclaimer opinions.

In his remarks, Ahsanul Qosasi praised the Government agencies that have improved their accountability and transparency and reminded the agencies to follow up the BPK recommendations

“If the follow-up is not immediately completed, the BPK is obliged to report (the case) to law enforcement officials. If there is any proven markup or fraudulent financial report, the BPK will report it to law enforcement officials,” Qosasi concluded.

Also present during the event were Minister of Communication and Informatics Rudiantara, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Syafruddin, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education M. Nasir, Minister of Village, Underdeveloped Regions Development and Transmigration Eko Putro Sandjojo, Minister of Social Affairs Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Women Empowerment and Children Protection Yohana Yembise and Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi.
