Cabinet Secretariat has received an excellent performance evaluation in bureaucratic reforms from Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms.
Based on the evaluation, Cabinet Secretariat’s Bureaucratic Reform Index reached 84.83 with category A, higher than that of last year’s score at 83.33.
“The evaluation results show that Cabinet Secretariat has made efforts to realize improved governance through continuous improvements,” the Ministry’s Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform, Accountability and Oversight Erwan Agus Purwanto said in his written statement.
According to him, Cabinet Secretariat has made many improvements in accordance with recommendations of Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms in the previous year, including in enhancing the internalization of bureaucratic reforms to all employees of the agency and accelerating the governance of an electronic-based government system (SPBE).
“We hope the efforts to implement bureaucratic reforms can be improved sustainably,” he said.
Regarding the evaluation of government institution’s performance accountability, Cabinet Secretariat obtained 80.07 with category A.
“The evaluation of performance accountability shows satisfactory results. The agency and working units can lead changes in realizing results-oriented government,” Erwan said.
Following the 2022 assessments of bureaucratic reforms and performance accountability for Cabinet Secretariat, Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo said that the achievements were in line with Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung’s commitment to making the agency a professional and advanced organization.
“Cabinet Secretary certainly wants to make the agency he leads become more professional and advanced. That way, it can show the public that a presidential institution is a good organization that consists of qualified human resources, bureaucratic reforms, and its performance are also implemented in an accountable manner,” Farid said, Friday (03/31).
The achievements, he added, were also supported by the joint work of everyone within Cabinet Secretariat.
“This is the work of all. The entire Cabinet Secretariat. The employees under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary,” he added.
On that occasion, the Deputy also underscored that Cabinet Secretariat will constantly implement bureaucratic reforms and improve performance accountability in all working units by involving everyone within the organization.
“I invite all heads of working units and organizational units to build an understanding of bureaucratic reforms and performance accountability. Let’s do it together,” he said. (DND/TGH/SLN/UN) (RIF/EP)
