Cabinet Secretariat must become a “problem solver” for bureaucracy problems, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has said.

“One of the important factors in our problems is the government bureaucracy. I order all Deputies, Expert Staffs, and Vice Cabinet Secretary to avoid new bureaucracy problems in Cabinet Secretariat,” Pramono said during inauguration of Cabinet Secretariat’s high-ranking officials, Friday (12/6).

The Cabinet Secretary also said that in the pandemic era, Cabinet Secretariat, which is responsible for cabinet management, must be able to improve its performance by making use of technology to provide the best service for the President, Vice President and the Cabinet.

“We know that we are facing tough time. We need to make adjustments, and thank God in the last three months Cabinet Secretariat can serve the President and Vice President well, especially on cabinet management,” Pramono said.

On that occasion, Pramono explained that Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2020 stipulates that Cabinet Secretariat has authority to review Ministerial Regulations based on the President’s policies decided in Cabinet Meetings.

At the end of the speech, the Cabinet Secretary invited all Cabinet Secretariat personnel to create solid networking, be happy at work, and be in good heart.  (TGH/EN)
