In a bid to tackle the coronavirus outbreak and to slow the spread, Cabinet Secretariat provides influenza virus vaccine for all its officials and staff, starting from 17 until 20 March 2020.

The schedule of the vaccination is as follows:

  1. Tuesday (17/3) Deputy for Cabinet Work Support;
  2. Wednesday (18/3) Deputy for Economic Affairs, Deputy for Political, Legal, and Security;
  3. Thursday (19/3) Deputy for Human Development and Culture Affairs, Deputy for Maritime Affairs, Expert Staff to Cabinet Secretary;
  4. Friday (20/3) Deputy for Administrative Affairs, Data Center, Technology, and Information, Special Staff to the President, Special Staff to the Vice President.

Before the vaccination, all officials and staff are required to complete a form containing their personal data and to pass a screening test performed by several medical staff as a preventative measure to detect potential health problems.

For the record, the purpose of screening is for early detection, including to ensure that those officials and staff have no signs or symptoms, have no fever above 37.5 degrees Celsius, and have no allergy to poultry/eggs. They should also not get any influenza vaccine in less than one year. (MAY / EN)
