Assistant Deputy of Public Relations and Protocol of Cabinet Secretariat Said Muhidin received a visit from Directorate of Processed Food Registration of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) at the office of Cabinet Secretariat, Jakarta, Friday (09/30).

Director of Processed Food Registration of BPOM Emma Setyawati revealed that this visit aims to learn the Cabinet Secretariat’s social media platform management, which she considered well-managed.

On social media, Cabinet Secretariat won the 1st Best Social Media in the classification of Ministry/Institution, State-owned Enterprise (BUMN), Region-owned Enterprise (BUMD), and State University (PTN) levels at the 2021 Public Relations Media Award (AMH) organized by Ministry of Communications and Informatics.

“Why are we doing our benchmark study here? Because we know that Cabinet Secretariat has received the 1st Best Social Media in the classification of Ministry/Institution, State-owned Enterprise (BUMN), Region-owned Enterprise (BUMD), and State University (PTN) levels at the 2021 Public Relations Media Award (AMH),” Emma said.

Emma stated that the benchmarking is part of an effort to continuously improve the work unit she leads, especially in managing social media. “There must always be room for improvement. If we want to expand the room for improvement, why not look at our left and right. Therefore, there is a comparative study, there is a benchmark study,” she added.

On this occasion, Emma also expressed her interest in the making process of Podkabs, an official podcast channel created by Cabinet Secretariat. Currently, this podcast has seven episodes with Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet as the guest speakers.

“We have two podcast rooms, but in my opinion, they haven’t been used optimally, therefore we want to learn how to optimize and manage podcasts so it will make people can’t wait to tune in,” she said.

On the same occasion, Said also welcomed the visit. “It is a wonderful occasion to be visited by our friends from the BPOM. It’s an honor for us. That’s the dynamic. We learn from each other and share our knowledge, our experiences with each other,” he stated.

Said said that since it was first formed around 2011, the PR unit of the Cabinet Secretariat has continued to transform and implement various developments. “From 2011 onwards, the PR of Cabinet Secretariat has continued to transform. First, we have improved the design of our website, including its contents,” he asserted.

Said also revealed that currently, the PR manages six online media channels, namely the setkab.go.id website, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify channels. “The number of visitors of the setkab.go.id page in 2022 until the end of August has reached 7.28 million. Meanwhile, more than 2.19 million users follow our social media,” he said.

He also stated that through these various online media, the PR actively presented positive narratives through various products such as news, audios, videos, and infographics. “We present the information fully by prioritizing accuracy,” he conclusively remarked. (TGH/UN) (FI/HD/MMB)
