Cabinet Secretariat has received Public Service Award from Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform for its high achievement on Public Service Index with a score of 4.16 or A- category (Very Good).
The achievement shows that Public Service Unit of tCabinet Secretariat has applied all aspects of good public service performance based on the prevailing laws and regulations.
Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga who received the award on Wednesday (11/12) said he was grateful for the award, adding that it is an extraordinary achievement for Cabinet Secretariat in general because this is the first time the institution receives such award.
“This achievement is not only for one deputy, but for the entire elements of the institution because the unit who was assessed for the competition is handling cabinet meeting, which was supported by all deputies. So this is an achievement for all,” he said.
Thanon also acknowledged that there are still some lacks of services, especially related to innovation. Therefore, he said he was committed to creating innovation through the use of information technology.
“Hopefully the use of information technology can further improve our services to ministries, institutions as well as to the President,” Thanon added.
Other than innovations, he also highlighted the importance of human capital to improve professionalism. “I am optimistic that by next year, with support from other deputies, we can improve our human capital,” Thanon said. (DND/JAY/ES)
