Vice Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati receives BPK’s Investigative Financial Reports (LPH) at BPK Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/6)

Cabinet Secretariat has obtained an “Unqualified Opinion” (WTP/Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian)” – the best audit level – from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for the 2016 budget report.

The report on the opinion was submitted by BPK Member Prof. Dr. Edi Mulyadi to Vice Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati during a special event that presented BPK’s Investigative Financial Reports (LPH) of Ministries/Institutions at BPK Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/6).

Representatives from Cabinet Secretariat attending the event were Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs  Farid Utomo, Head of Bureau for Finance and Planning Islachuddin, Head of Inspectorate Wawan Gunawan, and Head of Bureau for General Affairs Temon Subandi.

For Cabinet Secretariat, the WTP opinion that it obtained for its 2016 budget report was the fifth time that it obtained in a row since 2012.

In the meantime, in his remarks Edi reminded Ministers/Head of Institutions to follow up recommendation given by BPK in the LPH. Specifically, Edi said that recommendations that must be followed up include improving effectiveness of internal control to the management of non-tax revenues (PNBP), spending of goods, and down payment of spending in accordance with the regulations. In addition, another recommendation is to make an inventory of the availability of fixed assets and other assets in every institution and ministry.

Edi also ensured that the reports of the financial reports of every ministry/institution were made by BPK based on the principles of independence, integrity, and professionalism. “BPK made the report based on the standard of financial investigation,” Edi firmly said. (AGG/ES) (EP/YM/Naster)
