Although this year’s holy fasting month of Ramadan is celebrated during the COVID-19 pandemic, it will not lessen the values and religiosity of the month since all Muslims around the globe always long to observe Ramadan, according to Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

He also said that fasting is an opportunity to develop the senses of piety, humanity, solidarity, and compassion.

“Fasting is more than being hungry and thirsty, it will develop the senses of piety, humanity, solidarity, and compassion,” he said on Wednesday (14/4).

On that occasion, Pramono sent best wishes to all Muslims in the world observing Ramadan.

“Have a good Ramadan, may it increase our religiosity,” he added.  (MAY/UN) (RAS/MMB)
