Deputy of Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati on Friday (8/2) met with the delegation from the National Library at Building III of Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta.
Ratih said in her remarks that the meeting was convened due to materials needed for the upcoming
‘Presidential Gallery’, which was initiated by the National Library. “I think it is right to visit us at the Cabinet Secretariat so the National Library knows what we can offer,” she said.
Furthermore, Ratih assigned Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Yuli Harsono to assist the National Library to select and provide the materials owned by the Cabinet Secretariat. She also encouraged the Cabinet Secretariat Library personnel to learn from the National Library.
The National Library of Indonesia is located at Gambir, on the south side of Merdeka Square, Jakarta. The new building of the library is one hundred twenty-seven meters tall building and is claimed to be the tallest library building in the world. It was inaugurated by Indonesian president Joko Widodo on 14 September 2017. (FID/JAY/ES)
