After accompanying President Prabowo Subianto on his state visits to Japan and the Republic of Korea President, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya hosted a halalbihalal (post-Ramadan gathering) with Cabinet Secretariat employees and their families at Hoegeng Hall, Cabinet Secretariat Building, Jakarta, Thursday (04/02).

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Cabinet Secretary emphasized the importance of strengthening communal ties (silaturahmi) and fostering a sense of kinship within the organization.

“I want to remind everyone that we are one family here. Work is not only about coming to the office, doing our tasks, and going home. It’s also about building strong family ties, making more friends, and helping one another whenever we can, or at least not making things harder for others,” the Cabinet Secretary said.

The Cabinet Secretary also reminded employees to maintain a comfortable and professional work environment to support greater effectiveness, starting with keeping their desks organized.

“I entrust this office—your workplace—to all of you. You probably spend more time here than at home, except when sleeping. So please take good care of it. Start with yourself. Tidy up your desk when you arrive and before you leave,” Teddy said.

The Cabinet Secretary also expressed his appreciation for staff’s hard work in supporting the Government’s performance. He also reminded them to stay committed to the ongoing transformation of the organizational work culture.

For the record, the gathering was not only attended by the Cabinet Secretariat employees but also by their families. The event became even livelier when the Cabinet Secretary invited the children to take part in a fun presidential trivia challenge.

“I have a quiz for the kids, but the prizes will go to their parents… Who can name all the Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, from the first to the eighth?” Cabinet Secretary asked.

The challenge was met with great enthusiasm as the children eagerly raised their hands, hoping to answer the quiz question from the Cabinet Secretary Teddy.

Reimar, a first-grade student, eagerly rushed to the front after being called on by the Cabinet Secretary.

“Soekarno, Soeharto, BJ Habibie, Gus Dur, Megawati, SBY, Jokowi, Prabowo,” Reimar said loudly, drawing a round of applause from everyone in attendance.

Concluding the gathering, the Cabinet Secretary warmly shook hands with members of the Cabinet Secretariat family.

The moment not only strengthened their sense of togetherness but also highlighted the shared spirit of camaraderie and dedication to national service. (AIT/UN) (NST/EP)
