Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung wished Indonesian Muslims a happy Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri.

On welcoming the Islamic holy day, Pramono also asked for forgiveness.

“Happy Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri. Let us forgive each other,” he said in a video uploaded on the YouTube channel of Cabinet Secretariat, Sunday (05/01).

According to Pramono, this year’s Eid al-Fitr is different from Eid in the past two years amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because this year, the Government has officially allowed the people to go mudik (annual exodus ahead of Eid al-Fitr), he added.

“Let us use this Eid’s mudik to visit, forgive, meet families, and relieve longing,” he said while also reminding the people to remain disciplined in observing health protocols since the pandemic is not over yet.

“May Allah SWT accept our fast and all of our good deeds and worships this Ramadan, and always shower us with His grace and guidance,” he remarked. (MAY/UN) (DH/MUR)
