On Monday (8/1) morning, at the meeting room of Cabinet Secretary, Building 3, Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung hands over the 2018 Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and Operational Guidance of Activity (POK). These two documents to be used as abasis for using the budget and disbursing the fund so that programs and activities in Cabinet Secretariat can be executed.

In this regard, the Cabinet Secretaty Pramono Anung asks all working units to apply principles of promptness, accuracy, and benefits inspending the 2018 Budget totaling Rp230 billion in order to achieve a better performance.

“In 2017, our rate was 89.4 percent. Hopefully in 2018, it can be more than 90 percent so that our grade will increase,” Cabinet Secretary says.<>

At the last meeting with the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), the grade of Cabinet Secretariat supposedly could be higher due to a number of achievements, for example transparency. The Cabinet Secretary hopes in 2018, the rate could reach 93-94 percent.

On that occasion, Pramono Anung also reminds that although 2018 is a political year, all working units at the Cabinet Secretariat should give maximum support to the activities of the President as well as Vice President.

 

Better Achievement

At the beginning of his remarks, Cabinet Secretary expresses his appreciation for the achievement of Cabinet Secretariat’s budget realization in 2017 that better compared to previous years.

According to him, in general, year 2017 is the best performance of State Budget of President Joko Widodo’s Administration. Quoting the Minister of Finance, the Cabinet Secretary explains that State Revenue in 2017 is around Rp1,658 trillion, or 95.6 percent of the 2017 Revised State Budget while the expenditure decreases to Rp1,983.7 trillion, 93 percent of the 2017 Revised State Budget.

“For the first time, our deficit is 2.41 percent of the GDP. This is a very good figure. It also means that our primary balance decreases to Rp108.2 trillion compared to the previous amount, Rp178 trillion,” he says.

Pramono Anung wants this momentum to be maintained by all ranks of Cabinet Secretariat in performing managerial duties of the Cabinet. Furthermore,with the issuance of Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017, Cabinet Secretariat now has the authority to coordinate with Coordinating Ministers.

Also attending the event are Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati, Special Staff to the President Diaz Hendroprijono, Special Staff to the Vice President Prof. Dr. Satya Arinanto, SH.
