Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung on Tuesday (26/5) attended a halalbilahal (post-Ramadan gatherings) through a video conference with all officials and staff of Cabinet Secretariat.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I wish you a happy Eid Day. I apologize for any physical and emotional wrongdoings’,” Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said in his remarks at a virtual halalbihalal, Jakarta, Tuesday (26/5).

Cabinet Secretary went on to say that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has called on the implementation of the ‘new normal’ standard.

According to Pramono, the new normal standard will be implemented since the vaccine has not been discovered yet, so we should coexist with COVID-19.

“Coming to terms with the virus does not mean surrender,” Pramono said, adding that health protocols should continue to be improved.

The first thing in the new normal standard, Pramono continued, is to maintain a safe distance between people. “There will be a safe space in our workplace, considering that it may break the chain of COVID-19 transmission,” Pramono said.

On that occasion, Cabinet Secretary also said that the new normal procedures require the people to wear facial masks and wash their hands, be it using soap or hand sanitizers. (EN)
