Cabinet Secretary Installs Fadlansyah Lubis as Vice Cabinet Secretary

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung Thursday (25/02) inaugurated Fadlansyah Lubis as Vice Cabinet Secretary and Ratih Nurdiati as Functional Official of Translator of Expert Level.
Fadlansyah’s inauguration is based on Presidential Decree Number 25/TPA of 2021 on Dismissal from and Appointment to Senior Leadership Position in the Cabinet Secretariat.
“To appoint Dr. Fadlansyah Lubis, S.H., LL.M. as Vice Cabinet Secretary as of the date of inauguration and be given a structural echelon 1.a position allowance in accordance with the laws and regulations,” reads an excerpt of the Presidential Decree established in Jakarta on 11 February 2021.
Fadlansyah Lubis, former Deputy for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, took an oath of office as Vice Cabinet Secretary followed by the signing of minutes of the inauguration before Cabinet Secretary witnessed by Deputy for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga and Deputy for Administration Affairs Farid Utomo.
In his directives, Pramono appealed to new Vice Cabinet Secretary to provide more details on the study and recommendation on the policy plans of ministries / institutions in the form of ministerial / institutional head regulations as mandated by Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2020 on Cabinet Secretariat.
“With the new Presidential Regulation, especially for reviewing matters related to ministerial regulations, we need to make it more detailed before obtaining the President’s approval,” he said.
Pramono also pointed out that working from home (WFH) scheme being implemented by Cabinet Secretariat aims to reduce the rate of transmission of COVID-19 during the pandemic and is expected not to reduce productivity and performance of employees in providing support to the President and Vice President.
Pramono also expressed appreciation and gratitude to Ratih Nurdiati, who since 2017 has helped him as Vice Cabinet Secretary.
“I’d like extend sincere gratitude to Ibu Ratih who has helped me and Cabinet Secretariat for four years. Ibu Ratih has done her utmost for Cabinet Secretariat. I hope Pak Fadlan will continue the tasks that have been initiated by Ibu Ratih,” he said.
On the occasion, Pramono also inaugurated Ratih Nurdiati as Functional Official of Translator of Expert Level based on Presidential Decree Number 79/M of 2020 on Dismissal from Senior Leadership Position and Appointment to Functional Position of Expert Level dated 30 December 2020.
