Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that the Government would perform better if it has a Law Center.

“We have long-term homework that hopefully, we can realize it to build a better government,” Cabinet Secretary said in a meeting on regulatory reform towards effective and efficient legislations in the Cabinet Secretariat meeting room, building III of the Ministry of State Secretariat, on Thursday (18/10).

For this reason, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung requested his ranks to prepare a substantial draft that hopefully could serve as the foundation for the life in the nation and the state.

“Good and healthy democratic process requires the rule of law, legal institution, legal drafters that have been settled,” Pramono said, while citing an example of developed countries whose legal institutions are stable.

Cabinet Secretary considered that the signing of MoU on Legislations with the South Korean Government is expected to be a gateway to realize a Law Center.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati, Deputy for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo, Deputy for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Fadlansyah Lubis, Deputy for the Economy Satya Bhakti Parikesit, Deputy for Maritime Affairs Agustina Murbaningsih, Deputy for Cabinet Work Support Yuli Harsono, Expert Staffs to Cabinet Secretary Thanon Aria Dewangga and Dyah Kusumastuti, and other high ranking officials.
