Arief Yahya, M.Sc., received Ganesa Prajamanggala Baki Adiutama Award from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), at West Auditorium of ITB, on Thursday (24/8) morning.
The award was handed over by the Chancellor of ITB Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi in an Open Session to Commemorate the 97th Anniversary of Higher Education of Technique of Indonesia (1920-2017) that was attended by all academics of ITB. The Cabinet Secretary as well as the Ministers deserved to get the award because they have shown remarkable services and devotion.
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung felt honored to receive the award Ganesa Prajamanggala Bakti Adiutama from ITB.
Honestly, when I was told by the Chancellor that I would get the Award, I asked myself: do I deserve it?, Pramono said.
Pramono Anung admitted that so far, he does not interact with campus world often. Instead, he is much involved in politics and government. Therefore, this award made him recall his old memories.
According to Pramono, in 1985, when he was an active student of ITB, he was a student activist. He once was the head of a student asscociation as well as the head of a student council that often caused problems for the campus. Thus, Pramono Anung considered this Award is a redeemer for his sin in the past.
Pak Hariadi must be remember how naughty I were. Even, my friends and I stole a placard that was going to be signed, not to mention naughty writing on the wall, etc, told Pramono Anung.
He said that he and his family felt honored to receive the award. This award, as told by Pak Basuki, becomes our trigger to work harder for the nation and country, Pramono said.
At the end of his remarks, Pramono Anung expressed once again his appreciation as well as gratitude to ITB and all parties who encouraged him to graduate from the campus at that time.
So, Pak Hariadhi, thank you. If I didnt graduate at that time, I must have get caught, Pramono recalled.
