Pancasila should become an inherent value for the Indonesian people, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has said.

“If Pancasila is in the soul of the Indonesian people, then it will unite us in the future and will solve our fundamental problems. I also hope that what happened in the 2019 elections will not happen in future elections,” the Cabinet Secretary said on Saturday (1/6) at his office during the interview on the commemoration of Pancasila Day.

Pramono also said that Pancasila must be implemented in daily life, by upholding several values, including mutual cooperation, tolerance, and mutual understanding, which are the core values of Pancasila.

“Pancasila can no longer be taught only by words, it must be implemented. Pancasila must become a living ideology that continues to grow,” he said.

Indonesia, he added, has become the third largest democracy and the 16th largest economy in the world.

“Thus, Pancasila is not only relevant to the Indonesian people but also to the world,” the Cabinet Secretary concluded.
