Cabinet Secretary: President Prabowo Emphasizes a New Era of Indonesia’s Investment Climate before 12 US Bussinesspersons

President Prabowo Subianto has a meeting with 12 US prominent businesspersons in Washington DC (02/20).
President Prabowo Subianto received 12 high-profile businesspersons from the USA during a meeting held in Washington DC (02/20). Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in his written remarks (02/20) explained that those businesspersons have previously cooperated with Danantara Indonesia.
“This afternoon, President Prabowo received 12 high-profile businesspersons from the USA during a meeting held in Washington DC on February 2026. They have previously cooperated with Danantara Indonesia as the largest asset owner of State-Owned Enterprises,” Cabinet Secretary wrote.
Cabinet Secretary stated that the meeting was attended by several prominent global investment figures. Among them were Todd L. Boehly, CEO of Eldridge Industries, owner of the English Premier League club Chelsea and the LA Lakers basketball club, and Armen Panossian, CEO of Oaktree and owner of the Italian club Inter Milan.
In addition, also attending the meeting were Matt Harris, one of five Founding Partners of Global Infrastructure Partners and a Senior Managing Director at BlackRock; Martin Escobari, Co-President and Head of Global Growth Equity, General Atlantic; Al Rabil, CEO of Kayne Anderson; Neil R. Brown, Managing Director within the KKR Global Institute and on the Infrastructure team; Michael Weinberg, Managing Partner of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) and Co-Chairperson of the Investment Committee; Justin Metz, Managing Principal of Related Fund Management (RFM); Luke Taylor, Co-President of Stonepeak; Nabil Mallick, COO of Thrive Capital; Jeffrey Perlman, CEO of Warburg Pincus; and Seth Bernstein of Bernstein Equity Partners.
Cabinet Secretary explained that during the meeting, President Prabowo reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a conducive investment climate and opening up rooms for mutually beneficial collaboration. “President Prabowo is opening up investment opportunities as widely as possible to build as many economic chains and jobs as possible that benefit domestic interests in Indonesia,” the written statement said.
The meeting in Washington DC also confirmed that Indonesia is entering a new phase as a confident and stable country, and also ready to become a new center of global growth (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (AW/LW)
