President Prabowo Subianto received Minister of State Security (MSS) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Chen Yixin at the State Palace,Jakarta, Friday (03/27).

In the meeting, both leaders discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation to maintain regional security stability.

During the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the Chinese Government expressed hopes to strengthen cooperation with friendly nations in preserving and improving security stability.

“Chen expressed China’s hope to work together with friendly countries to build cooperation in maintaining and enhancing security stability in Asia and the world,” Teddy wrote.

President Prabowo also emphasized the importance of security stability for Indonesia. He viewed it as the primary foundation for supporting sustainable economic growth.

“Indonesian Government welcomes the initiative, while reiterating Indonesia’s view on the importance of regional stability for Indonesia in supporting sustainable economic growth,” explained Teddy.

In line with this, President Prabowo welcomed opportunities to enhance cooperation between Indonesia and China, which are expected to provide equal and mutually beneficial outcomes for both countries, particularly in the field of security.

“Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the MSS’s hope to increase cooperation for the benefit of both countries,” Teddy added.

He further explained that one of the measures to strengthen future cooperation is by enhancing the strategic partnership between the MSS and Indonesia’s State Intelligence Agency (BIN). This aligns with President Prabowo’s strategic vision to bolster national security amid global geopolitical dynamics.

“Enhancing good relations and cooperation between the MSS and the BIN in the future is part of President Prabowo’s foreign policy, which envisions strengthening Indonesia’s national security amid multipolar geopolitical dynamics through active roles in various dimensions of international relations,” he wrote.

Accompanying President Prabowo in the meeting was the Head of the State Intelligence Agency, TNI General (Ret.) M. Herindra.
