Cabinet Secretary Tells CPNS to Keep Studying and Enhance Their Capacity

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung delivered his directives during orientation of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) of Cabinet Secretariat in Building III, Ministry of State Secretariat, on Thursday (1/3) afternoon.

“I would like to welcome the CPNS who have been chosen to have the opportunity to work  closely with the President and I wish them good luck,” Pramono Anung said.
Moreover, Pramono asked to introduce the CPNS with simple things in Cabinet Secretariat, for example involve them in Limited Meeting, in Session of Final Assessment Team (TPA), and Plenary Cabinet Meeting. Therefore, the CPNS can learn and know what they are going to do every day.

“All of you are chosen through an open and transparent process. You are part of the best sons and daughters of the nation who have the opportunity to serve your nation and country,” Pramono further said.

Based on their CV, Cabinet Secretary explained that 68 percent of the CPNS are graduated from state universities while 32 percent graduated from private universities. He added that those who are chosen to become Cabinet Secretariat’s CPNS have remarkable qualification.

“I would ask Deputy Cabinet Secretary to distribute Presidential Regulation Number 25 of 2015 and Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2017 to all CPNS so they can learn the main tasks of Cabinet Secretariat,” Pramono added.

On that occasion, he also asked the CPNS to learn, learn, learn, learn, and learn. They must be disciplined and establish professional network. Pramono Anung also stated that one of main problems of Indonesians is they usually too focus on one issue. They should be realize that the world is so big, thus, they must open their mind.

Also present accompanying the Cabinet Secretary during the orientation were Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Administration Affairs Farid Utomo, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Yuli Harsono, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for the Economy Agustina Murbaningsih, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Human Development and Culture Surat Indrijarso, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Maritime Affairs Satya Bhakti Parikesit, Special Staff and Expert Staff to the Cabinet Secretary, and Echelon II officials at the Cabinet Secretariat.
